Oakwood University's motto is "Enter to Learn, Depart to Serve." The Degree Completion Program offers this opportunity to the adult community. We are sensitive to the needs of adult professionals who desire a degree but are unable to pursue it because of family and career commitments. The Adult and Continuing Education Program of Oakwood University is designed to satisfy these aspirations and academic goals. In addition to convenient evening classes in small group settings, the program provides an adult environment with opportunities for personal and professional development.

The Adult and Continuing Education Department offers a degree completion program that allows the adult student to earn a bachelor’s degree by attending class one night a week on a year- round basis.  Classes begin at different intervals during the year, thus allowing students the flexibility of planning their own course completion.  Students meeting all prerequisites can complete the program in approximately 18 months.

This department is under the division of Academic Affairs.
