Biological Sciences

Welcome to the Department of Biological Sciences at Oakwood University. Our mission at the Biological Sciences Department is to acquire and disseminate knowledge of biological processes through teaching and research. The Department seeks to further produce scientifically literate individuals on a sound moral and academic foundation who will be new scientists for the betterment of society. These individuals are expected to not only be sensitive to the needs of society but also to the worldwide church.

Our faculty & staff are dedicated towards producing life-long learners that will serve their communities during and after their academic program at Oakwood.  Academic and Spiritual preparations have been developed to do just that.
