The Technology Department is located in the lower level of the Business Technology Building. The main office can be contacted at (256) 726-8324.
We offer a variety of services to meet the growing needs of Oakwood University. Residing in our area are the offices of Technology, Media & Internet Services, & Technical Service & Support.
The Technology Department is responsible for all technology needs on campus. The Office of Media & Internet Services manages the university website, email system, video conferencing/distance learning room, the Information Display System (IDS) and cable television system. The Technology Department also has network administrators that are responsible for maintenance of the campus network, servers and port activation in dorms. The Technical Service & Support Help Desk houses our A+ certified technicians who install software, repair computer/computer related issues for faculty/staff and is one of the most valued assets at Oakwood University, utilizing trained students to assist faculty, staff & students with computer related questions & problems throughout the business day.
