As we embark upon a new school year, we look forward to serving you and making your educational experience at Oakwood University rewarding and memorable.
Oakwood University’s mission to its students embodies access to educational opportunities and academic excellence in a context of spiritual nurture. In addition to its emphasis on the liberal arts, the university provides biblical, professional, pre-professional, vocational and continuing educational studies. Our programs are designed to integrate faith and learning, encourage a vibrant spiritual experience, and prepare students for service to God and humanity.
We are committed to assisting each student in successfully completing his or her undergraduate program. However, the final responsibility rests upon the student. We encourage students to see their advisors to plan their class schedules as well as making additions and/or changes in degree requirements. Moreover, we recommend planning for the entire school year.
On behalf of Dr. Delbert Baker, President, Dr John Anderson, Vice President for Academic Affairs, and the entire Records Office Staff, we wish you much success and look forward to serving you in the coming year.
Yours in the Master’s Service,
Shirley P. Scott, M.S.
