Residence Halls

Oakwood University is a boarding institution. As such, all students are required to live on campus and participate in one of the three meal programs (exception: nontraditional housing residents can opt out of meal plan). Students who wish to live off campus must meet one of the following criteria:

They live in the community with their parents, adult members of their immediate family who are beyond University age, or with a close relative (aunt, uncle, grandparent).

They are married or a single custodial parent.

They are at least 22 years of age or have had two years of military service and are not on social, citizenship, or academic probation.

They are taking six hours or fewer.
