Residence Halls

Oakwood University is a boarding institution. As such, all students are required to live on campus and participate in one of the three meal programs (exception: nontraditional housing residents can opt out of meal plan). Students who wish to live off campus must meet one of the following criteria:
  • They live in the community with their parents, adult members of their immediate family who are beyond University age, or with a close relative (aunt, uncle, grandparent).
  • They are married or a single custodial parent.
  • They are at least 22 years of age or have had two years of military service and are not on social, citizenship, or academic probation.
  • They are taking six hours or fewer.
