Allied Health

The Allied Health Program at Oakwood University has a rich and successful history. Through the years students interested in medical professions have found majors in Allied Health that match their skills and interests. Today, all over the world, there are graduates working as healthcare professionals and making a difference in the world.

Take a look at the majors offered and you will find that there are careers for everyone. An Allied Health career ensures a good income, professional prestige and personal fulfillment because there are few jobs that make you feel better than assisting a person in the healing process.

But that is not the only reason. Healthcare badly needs YOU because healthcare is in serious need of minority practitioners. In almost every healthcare career minorities are not well represented among practitioners. As a result of this and other factors, the health status of minorities is generally poorer than for majority Americans. This must change and we are committed to preparing minority healthcare professionals with a Christian perspective.

Join us in the Chemistry Department. You will find supportive peers, faculty dedicated to helping you be successful, and an environment of excellence.

Looking forward to seeing you,
