The Office of Planned Giving & Trust Services is here to assist you with personal estate and charitable planning services. If it is your desire to maximally provide for your family and/or support the mission of your University in your estate plan, we urge you to give us a call and allow us to confidentially share the options that are available to help you realize your financial goals.
Our Director of Planned Giving & Trust Services is Fred Pullins. He is a graduate of Oakwood University ('66) and subsequently received his M. Ed. from the University of Memphis. Fred has served Oakwood in several administrative capacities since 1981. In his current position as trust director, he has received denominational certification as well as the Certified Specialist in Planned Giving designation from California State University, Long Beach.
Oakwood University was established on the foundation of faithful stewardship, and we have operated for over a hundred years on the same unshakable foundation. God’s word and promises are true. He will open the windows of heaven and pour out blessings to those who are dependable and faithful stewards of the wealth, great or small, that He has placed in our charge. Consequently, our primary goal is to assist our alumni, University employees, and supporters in utilizing the financial vehicles that are currently available to reduce estate taxes, provide a constant flow of income for life, enhance the gifts that are left to family, and to provide quality and enabling support to charity.
Planned giving options that are available:
Wills, Bequests
Revocable Self-administered Trusts, Living Trusts, Charitable Remainder Trusts, Charitable Gift Annuities, Charitable IRA’s, and Outright Gifts.
