Revelation 22 [Clear Word]

1 My accompanying angel showed me the waters of the River of Life, which were as clear as crystal, flowing from the throne of God and of the Lamb. 2 From the throne the waters gently flowed through the City, and in the middle of the City stood the Tree of Life, spanning the river with part of its trunk on either side. I was told that the tree bore twelve kinds of fruit a year, one new fruit every month, and that its leaves were for the healing of God's people. 3 No longer would there be any sin. The only reminder of sin will be the scars on the hands and feet of the Son of God. The people there will serve God forever. 4 They will see Him and look into His face as little children look into the face of a loving father. And they will have the Father's name to show that they are His. 5 There will be no night there, so they will not need light from a lamp or from the sun, for the Lord God will be the light of the City. And His people will rule the universe with Him throughout the ceaseless ages of eternity. 6 Then the angel who had shown me all these things said, "Everything that you saw in vision is true and the words you're writing down can be trusted. You were guided by the Holy Spirit who has inspired prophets through the ages and shown them what must take place. 7 Jesus says, 'I'm coming sooner than you think. Blessed are those who believe the prophecies written in this book.'" 8 I, John, your brother in the faith, saw and heard all these things in vision. After I had heard and seen them, I was so overwhelmed that I fell on my knees in front of the angel who had just talked to me. 9 He quickly helped me to my feet and said, "Don't kneel in front of me. I'm just a servant of God like you are. I'm here to serve you as I served your brothers, the prophets before you, and to serve those who will read and do what you write. God is the one to worship." Then he said to me, "Don't close up and seal the prophecies of this book, because God's servants need to know what these things mean and when the time is near. 11 Just before Jesus comes, probation will close. Then those who are unjust will continue to be unjust, and those who are filthy will remain filthy. The righteous will continue to be righteous, and the holy will remain holy." 12 Then Jesus said to me, "When I come, I will come quickly, and I will reward everyone for what he has done. 13 I am Alpha and Omega, the First and the Last, the Beginning and the End." 14I, John, understand that those who are blessed are those who have washed their robes in the blood of the Lamb and have lived by His commandments. This is what gives them the right to the Tree of Life and to enter through the gates into the City. 15 But outside the City are the wicked, those who practice magic, who kill, who are immoral, who worship the idols they made for themselves, who lie and deceive others. 16 Then Jesus said, "I have shown you all these things and through my angel explained them to you so you can write them down and share them with the churches. All that you saw is true and will happen. I am the Root and Offspring of David and the Bright Morning Star." 17 The Holy Spirit says, "Come!" Whoever accepts the messages in this book, let him say, "Come!" Everyone who is thirsty may come and freely drink of the Water of Life. 18 I, John, warn everyone who reads or hears the prophetic words in this book not to add anything contrary. If they do, God's seven last plagues will certainly fall on them. 19 If anyone takes away any part of this book or lessens the urgency of these prophetic messages, God will take away his right to the City and the Tree of Life which are described in this book. 20 Jesus says, "I am coming sooner than you think!" Yes, come, Lord Jesus. Come quickly! 21 May the grace of the Lord Jesus Christ be with all of God's people. Amen.
