President Delbert Baker switched roles from interviewer to interviewee as he agreed to be a featured guest on Profiles, a WJOU public affairs program for which he is executive producer. The recent radio interview took place at the WJOU studio on Oakwood's campus. General Manager of WJOU/90.1-FM, Victoria Joiner Miller, along with Michele Solomon, Oakwood's Director of Public Relations, co-hosted the discussion with Dr. Baker and one of his colleagues from the Antarctic Ice Marathon -- award-winning entrepreneur, Dennis Garcia.
Mr. Garcia spoke to faculty, staff and students as a guest speaker at a recent Chapel service. He was so impressed by the 50 States of Students campaign that he has committed to sponsoring one student for an entire year of attendance at Oakwood University.
