OU Represented Nationwide During Spring Break

Spring Break 2009 finds Oakwood in several different areas of the country.  The Aeolians are finishing up a tour of Southern California and Las Vegas, having made  stops at the Southeastern California Conference and Loma Linda University.  They are fitting in sightseeing stops between performances.  An Oakwood alumna, Ann Best was honored at the UNCF gala in NY, and was presented by our current Miss UNCF Melissa Phillips.  Dynamic Praise is touring the East Coast (New York-Connecticut area).  The Ambassadors Men’s Basketball Team is defending their 2008 USCAA Championship status in Uniontown, Pennsylvania (fairly close to Pittsburgh).  Coach Roddy reported that during the first game, the Ambassadors played with a “determined passion.” They are encouraged by the presence of several players’ parents, as well as schoolmates who have taken time from Spring Break to support the team.  A group of student literature evangelists have fanned out across the southern region of the country.  We look forward to good reports from all groups when they return to campus, energized to complete the semester.
