Campus-wide Computer Upgrades are Complete

Several academic and departmental offices received new computers over the past couple of weeks during a campus-wide computer update. The Information Technology Department began installation of the new hardware Monday, April 6, and by the close of business April 15, 245 new DELL computers were up and running. IT technicians completed the installations 200 faculty and staff computers and 45 library computer lab computers in record time, a day and a half ahead of schedule. The total cost of these technology upgrades is approximately $296,000.  It is part of the Technology Replacement Plan, designed to maintain state-of-the-art technology across the Oakwood campus.
