OU Staff Member Named Microsoft Certified Trainer
Don Holt of the IT Certification Department has been named a Microsoft Certified Trainer. Holt has served as a Microsoft Training and Certification instructor at Oakwood for the past four years, but in order to achieve the Microsoft Certified Trainer status, he had to successfully complete the Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer program and provide proof of experience in academic instruction. His new status qualifies him to offer instruction in approximately 225 Microsoft courses, which translates to a broader offering of
Microsoft courses through the Microsoft Certification Program here at Oakwood University. The program is headed by Karen Smith, who serves as the Certification Program Manager in the IT Department.Microsoft Certified Trainers (MCTs) are the premier technical and instructional experts in Microsoft products, technologies, and solutions. MCTs meet high initial and ongoing certification requirements. To ensure a superior learning experience for their customers, MCTs are the only individuals that Microsoft authorizes to deliver training that is based on Official Microsoft Learning Products or Microsoft Dynamics Learning Products for the MCT program.
The MCT community spans more than 140 countries and includes classroom and e-learning instructors, learning consultants, authors, conference presenters, user group leaders, and more. These IT professionals are united by a passion and talent for helping Microsoft customers and partners realize their full learning potential.
