Messiah’s Mansion Draws Visitors to Campus
Hundreds of visitors from the Huntsville community, as well as attendees at the South Central Conference’s 63rd Annual Camp Meeting, have taken the 75-minute tour of the life-sized tabernacle called “Messiah’s Mansion.” Guests are being shown the symbols – altar of sacrifice, laver, table of showbread, altar of incense and candlesticks -- and how each one brings to life events prophesied in the Bible. The Messiah’s Mansion tour is broken into five sections, each lasting about 15 minutes. Groups as small as 1 and as large as 50 are guided by a tour guide through the symbols and meanings of the sanctuary.
A basic overview is given at the beginning of the temple tour. The tour guide explains the symbolism of the altar of sacrifice and laver, and how these objects are applied spiritually to our lives. The guide explains the showbread, the altar of incense, and the candlesticks, mingling spiritual applications with symbolic explanations The lessons and symbols found in the most holy place are explained. The last station focuses on the garment of the high priest, and the symbols found there.
