President Baker Successfully Completes 7 -Continent Marathon Goal

President Delbert W. Baker completed the 26.2 mile marathon he ran Sunday, July 5,  in Australia.  It was his seventh continental race, which means that he has achieved his goal of running a marathon on each of the continents.  Support for the race was overwhelming, with over $100,000 raised for student scholarships.  The Gold Coast Airport Marathon in Surfer’s Paradise, Australia, was run under beautiful conditions with more than 20,000 runners in various events.  Dr. Baker finished the race in 4 hours 7 minutes and reports that he feels great! He thanks the Oakwood community for its support and prayers.
