OU Professor Chosen for MIT Workshop

Dr. Everett K. Roper, assistant professor in OU’s Business & Information Systems Department, has been chosen from a national pool of scholars to participate in the 2010 Minority Faculty Development (MFD) Workshop sponsored by the Engineering Directorate of the National Science Foundation (NSF).  The MFD workshop will take place from March 21-24, 2010 at Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) in Cambridge, Massachusetts, and is being co-organized by Georgia Tech and MIT.  Both workshop and post-workshop activities are designed to develop a supportive community of researchers. The theme of the 2010 workshop is "Engineering Faculty Success."  Through a series of carefully crafted and tailored sessions and activities, participants will become more knowledgeable and better able to navigate the path to career success as an engineering faculty member and co-researcher with MIT, Georgia Tech and the NSF.  ~ MIT Conference Services
