OU Students Sponsor Haiti Memorial Service

Oakwood University’s students invite the community to a special Haiti Memorial Service—a time to commemorate the lives of those lost, and to honor those struggling in the aftermath of Haiti's recent earthquake.
This special student-sponsored community event will be held on Tuesday, March 2, beginning at 6:00 p.m., at the Oakwood University Church, located at 5500 Adventist Boulevard NW, in Huntsville.
Included on the program will be special presentations by HERO and NAPS. The Aeolians, Dynamic Praise, and others will offer their musical talents. Dr. Agniel Samson, Religion and Theology department chair, and a native of Haiti, will encourage broken spirits through the spoken Word.
The event will provide a venue for individuals not only to express their grief over the countless lives lost, but to receive encouragement from fellow students, faculty, and staff. It will also offer the opportunity for those who are grieving to be uplifted—through music, ministry, and hopeful messages for all!
