OU Students Awarded Scholarships from local Engineering Company

Justin Davis and Travis Wright, both sophomore Computer Information Systems majors at Oakwood University, were each awarded scholarships from Science Applications International Corp. of San Diego, perhaps better known as SAIC. The scholarship awards include $5000 towards their tuition along with summer employment at SAIC in Huntsville. The awards were presented by Dan Harris, SAIC Senior Vice President, at the annual United Negro College Fund (UNCF) Gala on April 1, 2010, at the Von Braun Center in Huntsville.
SAIC is the nation’s largest employee-owned research and engineering company, providing information technology and systems integration products and services to government and commercial customers. SAIC and its subsidiaries have more than 44,000 employees at offices in more than 150 cities worldwide.
