Oakwood University Wins Top Award from City Beautification Board

Some of them are little more than street corners. Others are 1,200-acre college campuses.
There are office centers, shopping centers, fast-food restaurants, car dealerships and high-tech companies.
Share All of them are among the 249 properties that have been recognized by the Huntsville Beautification Board as the best in the city.
They have received awards and honor roll citations. Only one, though, has received the Mayor's Award, the most prestigious prize.
Oakwood University was presented the award Thursday morning at Redstone Federal Credit Union on Wynn Drive.
