Roper to Participate in NASA Education Stakeholders’ Summit
Dr. Everett Roper, Associate Professor in the Business and Information Systems Department and NASA UNITeS Student Supervisor /NASA Fellow, has been selected to serve as a panelist at the NASA Education Stakeholders' Summit in September, 2010. This important event is structured to help shape NASA's - and the Nation's - future workforce supporting science and technology endeavors. Invited speakers include NASA Administrator Charles Bolden and national policy leaders in STEM education and workforce development.
The NASA Education Stakeholders' Summit will take place September 13-15, 2010, in Chantilly, Virginia. Co-Sponsored by NASA Offices of Education, Human Capital and Management, Diversity and Equal Opportunity and Communication, the Summit will introduce NASA's One Stop Shopping Initiative (OSSI), an innovative, mission-enabling, NASA-wide approach to market and provide access to college and university students to a portfolio of internship, fellowship, and scholarship opportunities offered by NASA Mission Directorates and Centers. OSSI enables eligible students to access all opportunities through a single portal and single application and enables NASA to continually reengage students throughout their academic careers.
Congratulations, Dr. Roper!
