2011 Women Honoring Women Nominations Now Being Accepted

The WEDC Foundation is now accepting nominations for its 10th Annual "Women Honoring Women" Awards. The six awards will recognize women who have excelled in their fields of expertise and in their efforts to help others to improve their quality of life. Nominations for women to be honored are due by Monday, July 11, 2011.

The nominees will be judged on their path to achievement of success despite obstacles, exceptional professional and/or civic contributions, contribution to the community and a proactive willingness to help other women help themselves. Six awards will be given in the following categories: Arts and Humanities, Community and Public Service, Health and Human Services, Business and Professional, Education, and Technology.

The 2011 honorees will be recognized at the Women Honoring Women Celebration on Thursday, September 15, 2011, at 5:30 p.m. at the Von Braun Center North Hall.

This event is the primary fundraiser for the WEDC Foundation with Crestwood Medical Center as the presenting sponsor. The WEDC Foundation was established in 1998 as a non-profit, charitable organization to provide educational, financial and mentoring support for women who are trying to improve their lives.
