SENIOR PRESENTATION
Early in the spring semester the college family comes together to recognize the prospective graduating class for the year. This year Senior Presentation took place January 15, 2003, in the Oakwood College Church. This first opportunity for the seniors to march in robes is an indication that the four-year college educational journey is almost over.
The address to the class of 2003 was brought by Elder Carlton P. Byrd, dynamic young pastor of the South Nashville Seventh-day Adventist Church in Nashville, Tennessee, and a recent Oakwood graduate. Anthony Albury, vice president of the senior class, gave the class response to Elder Byrd's challenging message.
Heads of the academic departments or their representatives presented their prospective graduates to Dr. John Anderson, OC vice president for academic affairs. From every indication, the class of 2003 promises to be another outstanding class, poised to make their alma mater proud.
Mrs. Shirley Scott, director of the Department of Records, presented Mrs. Henrietta Lathon, coordinator of the Senior Program, a plaque of appreciation for her excellent work on behalf of OC's graduates over the years. Following encouragement by President Baker, Dr. Keith Burton offered a prayer of dedication for the class. Our best wishes go out to them as they prepare for graduation.
