Oakwood University has advanced to the Elite Eight at the 25th annual Honda Campus All-Star Challenge National Championship . Oakwood won all five Round Robin games (with a total of 3,270 points) in the James Weldon Johnson Division held Sunday, April 13, in Torrance, Calif. The playoff games begin on Monday, April 14 at 12:00 p.m. Eastern/11:00 a.m. Central and will be streamed live worldwide at www.hcasc.com .
More than $325,000 in institutional grants are awarded, with the champion taking home $50,000 for their HBCU. Here are the quarter-finalists and the distribution of grants in this final leg of the tournament:
The winners of the 2:00 and 2:30 p.m. games will then immediately play a best 2-out-of-3 series for the National Championship. Those matches should conclude at 4:00 or 4:30 pm. The National Champion will be awarded a $50,000 grant, and the Runner Up will earn a $25,000 grant for their school.
