Howard Weems, Ph.D.
Senior Chaplain
Special Assistant to the President
Dr. Howard Weems has served as a Seventh-day Adventist minister for over sixteen years. He has pastured several churches in Hartford Connecticut, Western New York, Queens New York, and Amityville, New York. His educational background consists of communications, theology, and psychology. He completed an Associate Degree in Communications and a B.A. Degree in Theology at Oakwood University. He earned a MA Degree in Pastoral Ministry at Andrews University. In 2000 he completed a Ph.D. in Organizational Psychology at Walden University. While functioning as a minister he gained experience in counseling youth in schools, in prisons, and in churches. He has also done family therapy and volunteer drug rehabilitation counseling in New York City. He currently serves as Special Assistant to President for Spiritual Life. In 2000 he completed a Ph.D. in Organizational Psychology at Walden University. He is an organizational psychologist and ordained minister. Dr Weems is an academician and ordained clergy in the SDA church |

Ronald Pollard
Associate Chaplain
Pastor Ronald K. Pollard received his BA of Arts in Theology from Oakwood College in 1987 and his Masters of Divinity from Andrews University in 1992. Since then he has energetically assisted dozens of churches in a wide variety of areas. He has worked as the key resource person for youth ministries in the Greater Los Angeles Region Youth Department, he has enthusiastically spoken for scores of Youth Days and for Weeks of Prayer around the globe, and has additionally, enlarged the borders of his influence through publications and contributions in various journals such as the Cornerstone Youth Resource Magazine, the Collegiate Sabbath School Quarterly and Message Magazine. After serving as the senior pastor of Philadelphian SDA Church in Long Beach, California from 2007-2011, Chaplain Pollard moved to Huntsville, Alabama to serve as a Chaplain for Oakwood University.

Kimberly Pearson
Associate Chaplain
Chaplain Kimberly C. Pearson, was born and raised in Maryland. She is the only daughter of Elaine Pearson who recognized God’s early anointing on Kim’s life. She is a proud product of Christian Education, graduating from Pine Forge Academy, and then receiving a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education from Oakwood University in 2005. After her time at Oakwood, Kimberly taught1st and 2nd grade for 5 years in Jacksonville, FL where she also served as Interim Vice Principle, Drama Director, and Special Needs Coordinator for students with Learning and Emotional Disabilities. In 2010, God providentially called her to pursue ministry full time. Kimberly has graduated with a Masters Degree in Youth Ministry from Andrew's Theological Seminary and is serving as the Associate Chaplain at Oakwood University.

Rebecca Sauls
Office Manager
Rebecca Sauls is from Wilson, North Carolina and serves as the Office Manager of Spiritual Life at Oakwood University. She graduated with a BA in Religion and Theology with a concentration in Counseling and Chaplaincy in May of 2012. Rebecca is a certified volunteer at Crisis Services of North Alabama. Where, she was dedicated to assisting families to work through domestic violence, suicide, sexual assault, and many other crisis situations. Rebecca is currently pursuing an MBA in Organizational Management at Ashford University as she anticipates pursuing an M.A. in Child and Family Therapy. Rebecca’s goal is to apply her counseling skills to strengthen, mend, and maintain healthy family relationships. She continues to serves the North Alabama community as a crisis volunteer.
